SCHOOL CLOSED (open from 7 January for children of key workers and vulnerable children only)

Dear Parents/Carers

SCHOOL CLOSED (open on Thursday for children of key workers and vulnerable children)

The Senior Leadership Team (with the full support of the Chair of Governors) has made the very difficult decision to close the school from this evening until the end of Term 3 (12 February) – pending national developments.  This is to ensure the safety of children, staff and the wider community. The risk assessment carried out for the new variant shows that we need to restrict the number of places offered to ensure safe ratios and small groups (similar to the first lockdown).  We will be open from Thursday onwards for those we have identified as vulnerable children and the children of key workers.  If your circumstances have changed and you believe your child falls into either of these two categories, please telephone the school tomorrow and we will try our utmost to accommodate your requirements.

I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this causes and for the late notice but I hope you appreciate our priority is the health and safety of all our school community.

We will continue to support you through our website, Facebook page, email and telephone calls.  Please do keep in touch and don’t hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do to help.

We will contact those who we have identified as meeting the above criteria tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your continued support in very difficult circumstances.

Yours faithfully
